The most meaningful, playful, deep, authentic and fun photoshoot I’ve ever experienced. Working with Onyay was so much more than just having my picture taken. She expertly guided me to explore sides of myself that rarely come out to play. To have all of them reflected back through beautiful, magical photos was a deep experience in self love and acceptance. She was fiercely present every step of the way, holding space for me with grace, tenderness and spirit. Onyay is so much more than a photographer! She has this unique ability to peek into your soul and bring out your true essence in photos. I wanted new lifestyle shots for my website and social media, and they turned out to be better than I could have ever expected!
We shot on the beach at sunrise, which in and of itself is beautiful and captivating, but Onyay knew the exact angles, lighting, and has that creative eye to capture that perfect image. In my opinion, a photographer’s energy is equally as important as his or her photography and editing skills. Photoshoots tend to get exhausting at times, but Onyay’s spirit is so uplifting! I fed off her enthusiasm the whole time. It’s truly impossible not to smile around her.

For someone who is pretty shy about being in front of a camera, having a photo shoot felt a bit daunting. From the moment I met Onyay, I felt comfortable. Her gentle encouragements, and her warm and playful spirit supported me in stepping into my courage and allow myself to be seen by the camera. And to my surprise, it was fun!! And now, to see the images we created together….it’s been a rare experience in my life to see a picture of myself and think, “that’s beautiful” let alone, “I’m beautiful”.
